Customer Eligibility

Can anyone order books from All About Books?

All About Books provides children’s books and services exclusively to nonprofit literacy organizations and/or customers who will be giving books away to children through nonprofit literacy organizations such as Reach Out and Read or Smart Start. Because of this, upon ordering you may be asked to provide proof of your organization’s eligibility. We accept the following forms of certification:

  1. Proof that the Internal Revenue Service currently recognizes the applicant as an organization to which contributions are tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
  2. A statement from a State taxing body or the State attorney general certifying that: (i) The organization is a nonprofit organization operating within the State; and (ii) No part of its net earnings may lawfully benefit any private shareholder or individual;
  3. A certified copy of the applicant's certificate of incorporation or similar document if it clearly establishes the nonprofit status of the applicant;

If you are a for-profit institution and are planning on purchasing books for a program that will be giving the books away, please reach out to team or be prepared to provide documentation.

We do not sell books for private use or resale, and we do not sell books in-person at our office/warehouse. We at AAB understand the need for literacy programs to purchase books at a low cost, and it is through our exclusive work with nonprofits that we are able to keep our prices so low!
